In the State of Oregon, the Department of Environmental Quality and the Department of Human Services have implemented an interagency exchange of air quality information. The Department of Human Services uses a Node Client application to discover and download air quality data from the DEQ's Network Node. Users at DHS can link data on particulate matter with data on asthma and cardiovascular disease and perform better analysis of potential environmental threats to public health.
