The Exchange Network Leadership Council (ENLC) is pleased to announce the release of the Exchange Network Strategic Plan: 2007-2012. The Strategic Plan is a living document intended to guide development and implementation of the Exchange Network through 2012 as the Network completes the transition from initial implementation into an operational system. The plan identifies objectives and strategic targets for Exchange Network growth and operations through 2012; links the objectives and strategic targets to performance metrics; and identifies corresponding partner milestones and governance responsibilities for achieving the strategic targets.

This document benefited from the over 100 comments provided by the Network community and the ENLC would like to thank all the individuals who provided comments. While we were not able to incorporate all the comments into the plan, every comment was taken seriously, and those that were not incorporated will be addressed through other processes.

On the whole, this plan describes an ambitious, exciting, and achievable Exchange Network future. The Exchange Network governance anticipates continuing to work with all members of the Exchange Network community in making the Exchange Network a success.
