Data Exchange Description

New Jersey, New York, and Delaware share common airsheds. Air transported into the area and emission sources in and across these States impact one another. Each State benefits from information on the quality of the air in another State. This information is used in the evaluation of current environmental conditions and trends, health tracking, and in coordinating homeland security efforts. The States intend to improve data sharing, data use, and data quality across the region. They use the Exchange Network to exchange AQS XML data with EPA and among the Partner States. The end result is a virtual, customizable, regional air quality monitoring network using the infrastructure of the Exchange Network. The AQDE Partners developed a Trading Partner Agreement (TPA) template to define the terms of their data exchange.

For more information, see the AQDE Success Story.

Version Notes

Status: Supported

The AQDE exchange reuses the XML schema developed for v2.0 of the Air Quality System (AQS) data exchange.
